10 STI Vaginal Screen
Overview:
The 10 STI Vaginal Screen is an extended vaginal screen that checks for 10 of the most common, and not-so-common, STIs in men and women that can give genital symptoms like pain or burning whilst passing urine, itching, discharge or rashes. However, infections may be asymptomatic and the 10 STI vaginal screen is the best way to check if you have any of these:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhoea
- Mycoplasma genitalium
- Mycoplasma hominis
- Trichomonas vaginalis
- Ureaplasma urelyticum
- Herpes simples 1&2
- Syphilis
- Chancroid
Why do this test?
The 10 STI vaginal screen is the best all-in-one vaginal screening test for some of the most important STIs in men and women. It is most useful if you have genital symptoms and suspect you might have an STI, but can also be used as a screening test because many of these STIs can be silent and not give any symptoms. It is most useful when used as part of an overall STI check when it is combined with blood tests for HIV and syphilis.
